LOH HEI Lunch at Orchard Hotel

Woooooooo Weeeee!! We are officially 'eating snake' on a working day - Friday, 03,2006! Our IFS Master (Secretary - Miss Lim) has made it all possible for all 35 of us to go Orchard Hotel Level II for LOH HEI !!

Here are all the beauties at Lobby E waiting for the transport to arrive... while..



... while the Males await outside.. some puffing away... there in the background you can spot a lady's back. She's the IFS Master - Miss Lim!!



There we all are!! In a big Tour Coach! There's our boss, impersonating as a Tour guide.
All in union: "Orchard Hotel, here we come!"



This has to be the rare times I had a chance to get someone to snap ME! hahaha, and there's Jennifer 'Lopex'. Notice the spelling is different. Cos I don't want anyone coming after me to remove this blog.. (Which reminds me that I had to spring clean my Blog and put the link in Friendster, cos someone wants to read it!)




Here we have (From left) - Unplain Jane, Evelyn the dragon Slayer, Moi and Andriany 'Sarawak'. Cos she does look like her! And I tell you, her pretty daughter looks exactly like her now! They look the same, move the same, eat the same!!! Awww...



Miss Chin Chin (CC) had to translate all the waitress said for the LOH HEI in Japanese so that my Colleague (japanese of cos) can understand the meaning..
Like: "Yu Sheng (raw fish) rang ni bu bu gao sheng"
Sounds like: "ainigo kyo defuei gohawa ou akaishi ni ogoji masu den den kozorari me"

??????????????????????? Okok, i confess. I made up the words. But CC really made the translation la.



To me, the food is lousy.. cos most of the time I am not in favour of the ingredients used, nor are the dishes to my preference..
Like the Fish, wrapped in GARLIC!
Like the prawn, wrapped in Tau Gee and Seaweed, sided by silver fish that looks like french fries and taste liek French fries from 3 days back!
Like Wet Noodles with Tau Gay and funny tasting vege (The portion of Tau Gay is much more than noddles!!)

Worse, like the picture below: Boiled Vege (Whole canopy) soaked with dried hard scallop bits, braised Duck's Web (single) and Fatt Choy + Mushroom + Oyster wrapped in unidentified skin!!
Basically, i gave my whole portion to someone else. EKKKKKKKKkkk... WILL YOU EAT THIS STUFF??



Then we had the Baby Sharks' fin soup with whole fins and chinese herbs. Very bitter. Fin is tasteless. Uhhhhhhhhhhh... cannot make it. (For me lar. I don't know about the rest)



Then I caught my Boss dozing off after the last dish of Nian Gao + Mango PUdding!! YUMMY!! Finally something I can relate to! Maybe next time I can suggest that we have desserts first then the main course!! MuHahahahahahah..




When the bills arrived, i kinda peeped at the receipt - i tink its about $2800++ for 3 tables. Each table is about $900.00++ cos we still ordered fruit juices and the guys' table ordered a whole roasted chicken cos one IT Guru only eat Chicken and not other meats...

I am actually very tempted to load CC's zzz face from the bus but I guess she'll scream at me and refused to help me with my Jap homework.. so I better get into her good books more often!! Hahahah... And I am very happy cos I have closed to $300.00 Ang Bao money this yr!! definetely most that I have gotten so far.. Cos 2 of my bosses, tuition kids' parents and I dutiely went visitings with my parents (even w/o my sisters!) and thick-skinnily took the ang baos from the Aunties even thou my mum (and Aunt) chanted: "SOOO big already, no need to give!!" MUHAHAHAH...
